We're not your average turbomachinery engineering consulting firm

While many engineering consultants have experience in just one area, at Macek Power we deliver cost-effective, practical solutions at optimal operating efficiency.

Macek Power is a quality organization with honest core values. They are always readily available and just a phone call away.

~ Carl Kiser, Plant Manager at Agrilectric Power

Macek Power & Turbomachinery Engineering is a privately owned, limited liability corporation formed in the State of Texas. Business operations launched early in 2007. Our original mission was to provide steam turbine consulting services and develop software to simulate steam turbine thermodynamic performance. Today, the company has evolved into both a consulting and manufacturing firm specializing in steam turbines, turbomachinery, power generation engineering, on-site technical support, root cause analysis, and CAD/CAM.  Our manufacturing services focus primarily on steam turbine rotor blades, stator assemblies, and impellers.

Our engineering expertise derives from a blend of broad-based industry experience in both repair shop and field settings with theoretical and computer-based mechanical engineering backgrounds. We specialize in steam turbine design and power generation engineering, including steam turbine rerates and steam path audits. Our significant experience  encompasses a wide variety of turbomachinery, such as gas turbines, steam turbines, pumps, and compressors. Our clients include the petrochemical and process industries, utility and agricultural plants, repair and manufacturing facilities, other engineering firms, and, occasionally, the OEM. We resolve turbomachinery-related design and operational issues using a unique blend of theory and practice. Macek Power owner and operator Michael Macek is a licensed engineer with more than 25 years of industry experience.

Macek Power is southeast of downtown Houston.

Macek Power is conveniently headquartered in the heart of Houston heavy industry.  Specifically, we are in La Porte, Texas, USA, approximately 50 km (30 miles) east of downtown Houston. As a small business, we offer fast, flexible service  at reasonable rates. We have invested heavily in modern software tools for turbomachine performance simulation, heat and mass balance simulation, rotordynamic analysis, CAD/CAM, and mechanical event simulation. Additionally, we maintain an extensive engineering library and regularly attend technical conferences to stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies. Manufacturing, also based in La Porte, includes CNC vertical machining with 5-axis capability, primarily used for steam turbine rotor blade and compressor impeller manufacturing.
